Charitable Support

Naturally, we care about the world in which we live and we support a number of local, national and international charities. This can be through specific fundraising events or allocation of funds to charitable causes as decided by our church council. Each year we aim to give 10% of our planned income to others who need our help. In 2016 this represented over £4300.

We also have a weekly 'copper collection' during our 10.30am Sunday Services for charities suggested by the children in our Sunday School. We are currently collecting for 'Christian Aid'. In addition we support Caritas and Porch with practical gifts of food and sometimes clothing - as well as making up 'Shoe Boxes' filled with small gifts for children suffering deprivation in Belarus. We also donate second hand Christian books to the Book Aid Charitable Trust for distribution to needy areas around the world and closer to home have helped Springside School with their appeal for books.
